Planning and development of road infrastructure in a game park in northern KwaZulu Natal.

The road network provides access for park management and includes gravel road construction with multiple river crossings.

GWI completed the planning with the Park Management, secured the funds for the project, appointed professionals for the design, appointed contractors for the construction and project- and construction-managed the implementation.

A project in the Songimvelo Nature Reserve which is situated near the town of Elukwatini in the Albert Luthuli Local Municipality, Mpumalanga.

The first Phase of the project included an Entrance Gate with an office, reception area and security control and the construction of a day visitor facility which included a picnic site with a pool, ablutions and braai facilities. Other activities included the construction of an access road from the entrance gate to the day visitor facility and the provision of basic infrastructure at the river camp site.

Owing to the success of this project, a second phase has been approved and GWI Project Managers were appointed for the implementation of the second phase of the development.

 

GWI have teamed up with a construction company to finalise the infrastructure at a residential estate development west of Durban.

The Director of GWi has announced that this project provides the company an opportunity to expand its portfolio into the residential market and they are considering investing further into this market.
